Reading this I couldn't help but feel this would be useful for cybernetic planners for understanding institutions and supply chains. This study found that large, heterogeneous networks are inherently stable. Any socialist system will have to grapple with how to easily create new institutions and how to make them heterogeneous enough to ensure the stability of the whole system.
