What is everyone's thoughts on the body of work in sociophysics concerning opinion dynamics, belief networks etc.
While I'm usually averse to the data-based analysis coming out of SV, what are everyone's thoughts on agent-based models of "belief" and additionally to what extent can we model the concrete material consequences of "belief"

Seems promising. I don't know if you've read about the origins of sociometrics, but all the network graphs of people that are everywhere in social media sentiment analysis and such were originally pioneered by sociology/psychoanalysis. Doing rule based simulations in such a framework feels like the logical next step.
@casperadmin It would be interesting to see the Sznajd model incorporated into the social architecture model as a way to model the bourgeois parliamentary state
